<B>The Circus (United Artists, 1928).</B></I> Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14"). Charlie Chaplin both directed and starred in this comedy gem that has the "Little Tramp" running from the law and "accidentally" joining the circus as a clown. "The Circus" won Chaplin a special Oscar in 1928 for "versatility and genius in writing, acting, directing and producing." The portrait card, which features a terrific close-up of Chaplin and the lovely Ms. Kennedy, has a corner chip, a small border tear, and light toning. The crowd scene card has small border tears, a corner crease, and some light toning.
