<B>The Celebrated Albert A. Grinnell Collection of United States Paper Currency Catalogued by Barney Bluestone 1944 - 1946 with Prices Realized.</B></I><BR> This was the paper money auction that gave our hobby its "Big Bang," even though the sale of the Grinnell Collection was conducted over a period of two years. There were seven parts, 651 pages, and 5898 lots that realized a total of $250,457. The bound volume catalogue we present here was one of the few that was ordered before the end of the seventh part as it has the former owner's name imprinted on the cover. The former owner had the distinction of typing out all of the descriptions for this famed collection. Also, this example has the autographs of Albert A. Grinnell, Paul E. Draper (Mr. Grinnell's private secretary), and Barney Bluestone on the first flyleaf. There is splitting and chipping along the spine, but nonetheless a great addition to any paper money library.
