This collection of props from Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat (Universal Pictures, 2003) perfectly captures the colorful and quirky charm of the town of Anville. Custom created for use by various actors and as set dressing throughout the film’s meticulously designed suburban world, these pieces reflect the Seussian blend of order and absurdity that defines the movie’s aesthetic.
The set includes a Humberfloob’s Real Estate folder, measuring approximately 12 by 9 inches, with the company’s distinctive logo and tagline “Distinctive Homes.” Inside the folder is a full-color property listing flyer for 5143 Fort Porter Court, complete with a photo of Anville’s pastel neighborhood and a tongue-in-cheek description of the home’s “soaring views,” “granite countertops,” and “Juliet balcony.” Also included is a Col. Wilhelm Military Academy for Troubled Youth flyer, measuring approximately 10.75 by 8.5 inches, created as a humorous world-building piece for the film. It advertises an overly serious military academy with a portrait of the school’s founder and a photograph of saluting cadets.
Completing the set is a polka-dotted retail shopping bag, measuring about 11 by 9.5 by 4 inches, made of translucent plastic and featuring purple handles and an orange “I” logo. The bag’s bold design and playful colors make it a quintessential example of the production’s exaggerated, candy-colored visual style.

The item(s) may exhibit varying levels of wear and studio distressing, as detailed in the listing images that provide an accurate representation of the condition.
