DS, one page, 7.75 x 12.25, December 19, 1967. A rider to a mutual release agreement between T. D. Managers, Naomi Hirshhorn, and The Byrds, in which the latter party agree “to render statements and make payments to Managers and Hirshhorn.” Signed at the conclusion in blue or black felt tip by David Crosby, Harold E. Clark, James McGuinn, Christopher Hillman, and Michael Clarke. Includes the first page of the original agreement. In fine condition. In the wake of the firing of Crosby and the departures of both Clark and Clarke, the end of 1967 found the Byrds reduced to the duo of McGuinn and Hillman. After taking on Kevin Kelley for a brief 1968 college tour, McGuinn and Hillman, cognizant that a three-piece lineup couldn’t replicate the band’s studio recordings, hired multi-instrumentalist Gram Parsons shortly thereafter. A notable signed document given the suddenly uncertain future of the Byrds.
