Gene Clark's personally-owned and stage-used pair of wooden maracas, each measuring 11.5? long, featuring maroon bulbs with hand-painted floral designs. In fine condition, with expected signs of use. Accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from Jimmi Seiter, a longtime road manager, associate producer, and touring percussionist with The Byrds, in part: "Based upon my long-term association with and knowledge of The Byrds, I hereby certify that this pair of maroon maracas was owned and used on stage by Gene Clark." Gene Clark (1944–1991) was a founding member of The Byrds and served as their principal songwriter between 1964 and early 1966, writing most of the band's best-known originals from this period, including 'I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better,' 'She Don't Care About Time,' and 'Set You Free This Time.'
