I/U. The Bristol Silver Mining Co. Stock, issue 1881, embossed seal, two vignettes. Center is very complete of farm land, trains, mine and miners. Corners have imprinted "State Of" upper right and lower left, "Nevada" upper left and lower right. Except for tri-folds in excellent cond.
Bristol City was a mining town situated 14 miles northwest of Pioche, Lincoln County, Nevada. By 1882 the town had five stores, 8 saloons, 2 hotels with restaurants attached, 3 stables, a lodging house, express office, printing office, 1 barbershops, butcher, laundry, shoemaker, blacksmith shop, and post office. The charcoal ovens, remains of furnace residue, a 1 original stone building remain. The facility as of is presently being maintained and operated by the cattlemen, and includes 3 charcoal ovens, stable, stone house, windmill and pump, water trough, small reservoir, and a holding corral.
