The Bride of Frankenstein (Universal, 1935). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). "To a new world of gods and monsters!" James Whale directs the sequel to his smash sensation of 1931, "Frankenstein." As told by Mary Shelley (Elsa Lanchester) to Lord Byron and Percy Shelley, the story picks up where the first film left off -- with the windmill fire which the Monster (Boris Karloff, in perhaps his finest role) survives. With the helping pressure of the Monster, mad scientist Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) is convinced by madder scientist Dr. Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger) to create a mate for Karloff. "Alone: bad. Friend: good!" This lobby card has multiple pinholes, light edge wear with a small corner chip, and some light staining and scuffing. Smaller images of Karloff, Lanchester and Valerie Hobson adorn the side panels of the card. A great piece from the best of Universal horror. Very Good/Fine.
