<B>The Brave and the Bold #34 Hawkman (DC, 1961) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages.</B></I> DC struck gold again with their revival of a Golden Age character, Hawkman. It was also a stroke of genius to have Joe Kubert interpret the superhero; after all, Kubert had drawn the winged wonder back in the 1940s and was on top of his game in 1961. Besides the origin and first appearances of the Silver Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl, this issue had the first appearance of Mavis Trent and Byth. Overstreet 2007 VF 8.0 value = $1,628.
