<B>The Brave and the Bold #34 Hawkman (DC, 1961) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages.</B></I> With the success of reviving two other DC Golden Age superheroes, the Flash in 1956 and Green Lantern in 1959, Julius Schwartz selected another star from the 1940s, dusted off and shined up for the Silver Age. Here's the first Silver Age appearance of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, drawn by Joe Kubert, who did some of his most inspired work ever on the two tryout series covering six issues. This is a wonderful copy, bested in CGC-grade by just a few copies to date. We've offered a nicer copy on only one previous occasion. Overstreet 2007 NM- 9.2 value = $4,100.
