This meadow landscape with trees by the German painter Hans Hassenteufel (1887-1943) is depicted in lush green colors. The oil painting from the beginning of the 20th Century transports its beholder amidst an untouched nature. In the background, dark rain clouds are evidence of an emerging storm.
The lower right shows the artist's signature "Hassenteufel München". The overall framed dimensions are 57.3 x 71 cm. The stretcher measures 45.5 x 60 cm. The condition of the painting and the frame is good with only minor aging and wear. The canvas shows a varnish and some color loss on the edges due to the framing. In the lower half of the painting, there is a small hole (barely visible). The frame is slightly bumped at some points.
