No doubt this figural pistol boot jack was all the rage with the cowboys in the late 19th century. This clever contraption is in the shape of a fancy pistol, hinged at the top to allow the halves to swing open and create a “V” shape to insert the heel of a boot and help pull them off. " The American Bulldog Boot Jack" appears cast in relief on both halves of the pistol.
