(Marvel, 1966) Issue 42 of The Amazing Spider-Man featuring the first appearance of Mary Jane Watson in one of the most famous single comic book panels of all time. Mary Jane had been teased in issue #25, drawn by Spider-Man’s pioneer artist Steve Ditko, with her face hidden. “Let’s face it, tiger...you just hit the jackpot!” introduces M.J. in the iconic final frame of this book, illustrated by Spider-Man’s second great artist, John Romita. This comic book is in very good to fine condition with low-gloss cover, light edge wear including a few stress marks to the spine, and interior pages off-white. This comic has not been CGC graded, with its condition described by visual inspection.
