The anniversary issue featured the origin and first full appearance of Venom, yes, the Venom who's in the upcoming Spider-Man movie! This is also the last time that Spidey wears his black costume. And it's one of Todd McFarlane's first issues on the title. This copy's smokin'! It's one of the most sought-after comics from the 1980s, but 9.8s are few and far between -- it seems the black ad on the back cover picks up fingerprints very easily. No such worries with this copy. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $100.
