The Amazing Spider-Man #1-20 Bound Volume (Marvel, 1963
The Amazing Spider-Man #1-20 Bound Volume (Marvel, 1963-65). These might be the best comic books ever produced, and there is no better way to enjoy them than by acquiring this bound volume. After all, even if you own every issue, your copies are either sealed up in slabs, or at the very least you have to handle them with kid gloves. And while we won't knock the " "Marvel Masterworks, those reprint books can't begin to compete with experiencing the original colors, Stan Lee's Bullpen Bulletins, the letters pages, and everything else that went into these classics. Trimmed and bound copies of issues #1-20 are contained in this handsome volume. Note that #1 is the 1966 Golden Records reprint, but all of the other comics are the originals. Most of the comics were evidently mid-grade copies when bound, but a chunk missing from the cover of #4 is the only serious defect of note. Some of the issues (including #2!) are super-nice, and the page quality will equal or beat any copies you would find ""in the wild."" The spine of the volume is embossed with the title and issue numbers, and the previous owner's name is embossed on the front of the book. So do you think you might like to have the first appearances of the Vulture, Doctor Octopus, the Sandman, Betty Brant, Liz Allen, the Lizard, Electro, Mysterio, the Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, Ned Leeds, and the Scorpion, all drawn by Steve Ditko?! We believe any comic fan with a pulse will answer that question with a resounding yes. Overstreet 2005 VG 4.0 value for group = $4,402.

Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour.
