Hagen, Johann Georg Friedrich von. HAGNISCHES ORIGINAL-MÜNZCABINET IN NÜRNBERG. Nürnberg: verlegts Martin Jacob Bauer, Buchhändler, 1771. 8vo, contemporary marbled boards; hand-lettered spine label. (6), 548, (6) pages; numismatic title engraving. Boards a little worn. Very good or better. Ex Clain-Stefanelli Library, though not so marked. The second catalogue published of this extensive collection, two years after the first (the Vorrede in this volume is dated “Nürnberg, den 31. Mart. 1769”). Mostly devoted to “Moderner Münzen,” it features, as might be imagined, an extensive panoply of German coins and medals, accompanied by Russian, Islamic, Iberian, French, English, Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, eastern European, Italian, Spanish America, Dutch, Swiss and other pieces. A small supplementary section of “Antiquer Münzen” (including Greek, but mostly Roman, coins) follows. Rare. Dekesel H26. Lipsius 419.
