Framed print of the historic Danish paddle-steamer "Hjejlen," based on an 1894 painting by E.G. Bruun. The original artwork was owned by Mr. Hansen of Silkeborg and depicts the oldest operational paddle steamer in the world, first ordered in 1861 by industrial magnate Michael Drewsen, founder of Silkeborg. Built by Burmeister & Wain, the vessel became renowned for carrying tourists on the scenic Silkeborg Lakes near Himmelbjerget. The reverse of the frame includes a printed label detailing the vessel's history.
