John Coffee Hays bronze (2002) #2/16, measures 29" x 20" x 6” on wood base with name plate. Created by Cowboy Artists of America member Jason Scull of Kerrville, Texas. Twenty years ago, Jason Scull produced a 16 ft. monumental of this piece for the Hays County Courthouse square. (where it still stands today) Only 16 of these smaller castings were ever made.

Museum quality framed piece honoring Texas Ranger John Coffee Hays (1817-1883). This piece features a print of the 1858 Matthew Brady portrait of Hays, hand printed from Brady’s original glass plate. Also included are a Hays Texas Rangers Captain badge made from a Cinco Peso coin, gold plated, and; an authentic San Francisco Sheriff’s badge. Only 5 of these double badge framed pieces exist. They were custom made for the Hays County Historical Society, the San Francisco Sheriff’s office and the Texas Rangers 15 years ago. 45 1/2h X 23w.
