Floral tooled brown leather belt and holster, measuring 41", adorned with engraved Texas Ranger buckle. Maker's mark of a "bear" motif. Overall length of 44". With copy of letter from Texas Ranger Captain Jack Dean, on Texas DPS letterhead: "Just a note on the two gun belts that you now had, that once belonged to me. They were a gift to me in somewhat of a strange way. Two brothers ( who will go unnamed at this time) presented them to me sometime after I had arrested their nephew for Bank Robbery. The young man and his wife both went to Federal Prison for this Robbery which happened in Tyler, Texas so many years ago. The belts were made in San Angelo, Texas around 1970, and used by me in the early days of my Ranger career while stationed in McAllen, Texas."
