a large, detailed woodcut of John Baker Omohundro, also known as Texas Jack, the famed frontier scout, actor, and cowboy, on the front page of New York Weekly, Vol. XXVIII, No. 20, March 24, 1873; woodcut 7.5" x 13", newspaper 13.75" x 20", matted and framed, 19" x 25.5". The woodcut is accompanied by excerpts from a story entitled A Mate to Buffalo Bill. Texas Jack, The White King of the Pawnees., Chapter I and II, by Ned Buntline. 

Condition: Light, even toning; light, scattered staining; typical fold in center.
