<B>Texas Civil War Forts From Illustrations in <I>Harper's Weekly</B></I>.</B></I> A nice selection of illustrations from <I>Harper's Weekly</B></I> framed and double-matted under glass. One framed set, 15” x 22” overall, features hand-colored illustrations of Fort Brown (Brownsville), Fort Arbuckle and the landing of General Barne's expedition on Brazos Santiago, November 2, 1862. The other framed group, 15” x 17.5” overall, includes hand-colored illustrations from the <I>Harper's Weekly</B></I> of March 16, 1861 and includes Fort Wachita and Fort Davis. Rounding out the lot is an unframed page from <I>Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War,</B></I> 11” x 15.5”, with illustrations of The Alamo, Fort Lancaster and Fort Brown.
