Lot of three manuscript documents, various formats and lengths, 1892. According to the documents, one “J. L. Hill, Texas Veteran” fought in the Texas Army from February to May 1836, and died on July 18, 1889. The present documents relate to the attempts of Hill’s indigent widow to obtain title to the assets her husband owned upon his death. In fine condition, with light toning, folds, and usual mild document wear. Intriguing possibilities for further research.
