The lot features a Indian tanned hide bow and quiver holder with a plain wood bow and arrow from the Teton Sioux Native American Indians. The collection was thought to be used by a Teton Sioux horse back warrior and is from circa 1870-1890. The arrow features a slight ocher painted design on the wood stem and has a forged iron arrowhead, a very rare preserved artifact. The bow is a carved solid wood plain bow in a shorter configuration as it was used on horse bacK. The quiver has cut fringe with a slight yellow ocher dye. Bow is 36" L, arrow is 26" L, quiver with the bow and arrow is 38" L with an additional 4.25" L fringe. Buffalo Bison Indian tanned hide quiver scabbard with Bison hair and turkey feather accents.
