Tesuque Polychrome Bowl,
circa 1890-1900. Flat bottomed bowl with flaring sides, the interior with a white slip decorated with black painted geometric and floral devices, the exterior rim decorated with a red band extending to about .5" below the lip of the bowl. Both the interior and exterior burnished; 4.75" high x 10" diameter. Deaccessioned from the Western Reserve Historical Society of Cleveland, Ohio. Surficial soiling, and two hairlines visible on opposite sides of the orifice. "1.50" written in old ink on interior of bowl, and museum accession number "42.933" in ink on base.
