<B>Terry-Toons Comics #50 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Timely, 1946) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> Heckle and Jeckle made their first comic book appearance right here, in a <I>Timely</B></I> book! This issue was close on the heels of the twins' cartoon debut. They went on to have a long comic book career at St. John, Dell/Gold Key, and elsewhere. The Crippen copy of Mighty Mouse's first appearance in <B>Terry-Toons</B></I> #38 sold for seven times Guide in a previous auction, and we hasten to add that it had a lower grade than this specimen! We expect healthy interest in this copy, too, especially since it's the only copy graded above 9.2. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $500.
