Pen inscription on verso: "Near Fort Hays. Kan. 1869. Buffalo Bill at left, something in right hand." 4) "Gathering up the Dead after Battle of Wounded Knee S.D." 5) "Chief Big Foot" [pen recto." "Chief Big Foot killed at Wounded Knee" [pen in message space.] 6) Group of 21 Indians. 7) "Ouray. Ute." 8) Little Crow, by Whitney, from a CDV. 9) "Po-Go-Nay-Ke-Shick (Hole in the Day), also from a Whitney image, no postcard back. 10) "Washakie/ last Chief of the Shoshones." This last is light with pen massage but not sent. [2]. The rest are all clean, unsent, no damage. But since they are copy views I'll grade [3-].

1) Our responsibility is to present the material clearly and accurately, giving you a good idea of what the object is, and what condition it is in. We don't attempt to manipulate your bidding. we present the lots with a minimum bid that is clearly stated, and we don't influence you with "estimates” or other devices. The material itself should speak to you. If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact us. We'll try to answer as best as we can. By following this policy we just about never have any returns or related problems. If it should happen that you find a lot is not what you expected from the description, just contact us and we'll try to make it right. In the rare case where something seems not quite as it was presented, you just have to let us know within 10 days of your receipt, and if you return it quickly in the condition it was sent we'll give you full credit or a refund. We are almost never called upon to do this, and in those rare cases the under bidder was happy to get the lot.
2) Your responsibility is to deal with your Invoice quickly and responsibly. It will be sent to you by E-mail soon after the close of bidding. Your invoice will include the amount of your bid or bids, a reasonable charge for shipping and handling, and the 15% premium. NY State bidders without a current valid re-sale or tax exempt certificate on file with us will have to pay an 8.5% state sales tax. We prefer you pay your Invoice with a personal or business check or money order in U.S. dollars on a U.S. bank to Be-hold, Inc., sent within a few days of the receipt of your Invoice. International bidders must pay with an International Money order in US dollars. If you would prefer to pay by credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa) just let us know when you receive your Invoice. We can easily charge the Credit Card you gave when you registered. Just let us know. If we don't receive your payment or clear instructions within 10 days after the Invoice is sent, we will offer the lot to the underbidder or take other appropriate action.
3) Material will be shipped as appropriate, Within the US, small photographs valued under $100 will be shipped by regular US mail, well packed but not insured. Large and higher-value lots within the US will be send via UPS, so make sure we have a street address. International orders will usually be shipped via Global Priority Mail, without insurance. For special cases, please contact us. We gladly ship internationally, but please do not request that we misrepresent the value of the material.
