Souvenir handwritten set list for the Ten Years After’s performance at Woodstock, one page, 9 x 12, signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by both Alvin Lee and Leo Lyons. Lee pens what he remembers playing, in full: “This is possibly what TYA played at Woodstock. Schoolgirl—Stopped & Returned. Slow Blues in C? Love Like a Man? Crying—Was good 20 mins long. Going Home—Last chord was out of tune, Choo Choo Moma?—It’s all a bit hazy now.” Below, Lyons makes a slight tweak, adding, “Maybe we started with ‘One of These Days.” In fine condition. Although this performance was a highlight of Woodstock, much of it—like Lee’s memories of the event—has been lost, as the sound recording partially failed and the film crew was only able to capture their final song. As Lee mentions, the band experienced multiple technical failures during the set, most notably their guitars falling out of tune due to the high humidity.
