Telegraph "E. Howard & Co., Boston", 186 € 2.750,- Very early electro-magneto dial telegraph by "J. Hamblet Electrician". The glass covered paper dial shows the alphabet, symbols and numbers 1-1000 and fractions. The cast iron pedals for producing electric power show: "Hall's Pat. June 11, 1867". It's said, that this telegraph was used to regulate the movement of railroad traffic before standard time was adapted in 1883. - An extraordinary museum piece and collector's item! Sehr früher elektro-magnetischer Telegraph. Das Papier-Zifferblatt zeigt das Alphabet, Symbole und Ziffern 1-1000 mit Bruchteilen. Die gußeisernen Pedale zur Stromerzeugung zeigen im Guß: "Hall's Pat. June 11, 1867". Es heißt, dieser Telegraph diente vor Einführung der Standardzeit im Jahre 1883 zur Regulierung des Eisenbahnverkehrs. - Ein ganz außergewöhnliches, seltenes Museums- und Sammlungsstück. - (3/?) - € 3.000/5.000 - (92/60)
