Teapot Dome Scandal Pinback. This symbolic 1 1/2" button shows crossed oil cans superimposed over a lidded teapot. It reads, "We Demand Farm Relief No More Teapot Domes". Some staining on the face with light rusting on the back. Fine condition. Harding's Secretary of the Interior, Albert B. Hall, received enormous kickbacks and interest-free loans for opening public oil reserves to the oil companies. An investigation of Hall's activities commenced in 1922 and resulted in an affair named after the Teapot Dome reserve in Wyoming. Unfortunately for Harding, Hall's unethical behavior would forever cast a pall of corruption over the entire administration.

Shipping: Small Collectibles (view shipping information)

Important notice
