<B>First Edgar Rice Burroughs Paperback: <I>Tarzan in the Forbidden City</B></I>.</B></I> (Los Angeles: Bantam Books, 1940), first paperback edition, 100 pages, wrappers, 16mo (4.25" x 6"). This book is an abridged edition of story first published in 1938. It was part of a series of paperbacks printed by Bantam and sold in vending machines at airports. The copy presented here is one of the early green cover printings with a blue title plate, the red rooster in a blue circle, and a green spine with black lettering. The book is in good condition, with some paper loss around the edges, especially at the spine ends.
