This beautiful Famille Rose vase depicts beautifully painted scenes showing us the 19th century China, as well as skillfully painted floral ornaments. The painting is of a very high quality and you can actually feel the paint on the porcelain. The bronze fitting matches the vase’s paintings and fits perfectly, just as the elegant white lampshade that has been decorated with stitched on light rose and green cords.

The vase’s height is 37cm without the shade and 60cm with the shade. The shade’s size is 25 cm.

For a long time, chinese porcelain has been painted blue and white. This changed with the beginning of the reign of Emperor Kangxi in 1662. Rose and green were suddenly used, giving the different styles their names – Famille Verte is obviously dominated by green colours, partially combined with purple shades and pink.
