Lot of 2. Includes a fine porcelain knob in cobalt glaze with bust length portrait of Queen Victoria surrounded bygilt scrollwork border. Height of handle 3.25", 1" diameter at top. Mounted with a unmarked coin silver stampedcollar, .75" high. Mounted on a smoothed bark covered knobby hardwood shaft with 1.5" nickel & steel ferrule.Total length 31.25". Second cane has a cobalt blue tau shaped handle with wonderful oval panel on top withpolychrome painting of Mercury, Cupid & Venus. Gilt scrollwork surround. Handle 2" high x 4" long. Mountedon a segmented bamboo shaft with .4" brass ferrule. Total length 32".First has nice original finish; Second has same, but bamboo is dry with some cracks, both handles are Excellent.(EST 300-400)
