<B>TWO SIOUX STONEHEAD WAR CLUBS<BR></B></I><BR>c. 1880<BR> <BR>each with wood handle and small stone head, one wrapped with rawhide along the length of the handle and decorated with dyed porcupine quillwork on the hood; the other with quillwork coiled around the handle<BR><I><BR>Lengths: 29 ¼ inches each<BR></B></I> <B>Condition Report:</B> In overall good condition. Both stones are secure. Coiled porcupine quilled club shows abrasion and some loss. Rawhide-wrapped club’s quilled hood shows abrasion and loss of some quilled fringes.
