<B>TWO PLAINS WOOD AND STONE PIPES</B></I><BR><BR>c. 1890<BR> one composed of a cylindrical ash wood stem and elbow-shaped catlinite bowl, with pencil inscription, <I>P L Bird</B></I>; the other with openwork ash stem and catlinite bowl decorated with carved ridged bands; accompanied by two old tags, one inscribed <I>Bought this knife and scabbard of Scout "Two Moons," October 17th, 1909. Knife then over 20 years old. A. J. Harstadt ... Rosebud, Mont. </B></I>and the other inscribed, <I>July 11, 1913, Pete Little Bird</B></I>; as well as a third card inscribed, <I>Label found in pipe-stem marked Pete Little Bird. Collected by A. J. Harstadt, Rosebud, Montana from Cheyennes on Lamedeer Res./ Label of knife & sheath of scout of Two Moons found in knife sheath of Red Robe.</B></I><BR><BR><BR><BR>Lengths: 22 ¾ inches overall each <B>Condition Report:</B> Overall very good. Stone bowl with chips on rims and on base of pipe with open work ash stem. Scorching of bowls.
