Lot of 2 early 19th century ivory knobbed canes, each with nice tapered exotic hardwood shafts. First with 1.75"high x 1" diameter with .25" coin silver collar and coin eyelets. This stick has a nice early type 3" long brass ferruleand a very interesting make-do repair to lower part of shaft using a 3.25" long brass sheath. Total length 35.5".Second cane has a threaded 2 piece ivory knob that is 1" high x 1.5" diameter, coin silver mounted eyelet hole and 3"brass & steel ferrule. Total length 37".1st see above & tight age lines in ivory; 2nd primitive scratched initials on top of knob, "E.R.", & tight age line inivory & one side of eyelet missing silver.(EST 300-400)
