TWO DECORATED BOXES.
American, 19th century, pine and paint. Rectangular box with deep brown paint and primitive drawings of houses and trees. Top has initials "AN" on either side of brass handle. 5 3/4"h. 10 3/4"w. 5 1/2"d. Along with a vinegar and putty decoration example with a beveled skirt and is raised on spool feet. 6 1/2"h. 11 1/2"w. 6 1/2"d. Imperfections.
Condition: Brown box has mising locking mechanism and minimal scuffing to surface.
Vinegar box -- skirt and front foot have breaks and loss. wear to finish consisitent with age. Replaced lid molding.
