TUSKEGEE AIRMEN
A great, rare group of handsome limited edition posters honoring four acclaimed squadrons of America's first Black military airmen, each of which is signed by pilots who are now all, regrettably, deceased. Each poster is a painting by A. Ric Druet and measures 23" x 19" color, depicting the four different units in flight. The first honors the 99th Pursuit Squadron, limitation #1234/1500, shows the bomber "Connie Jean" in flight and signed in pencil by eight squadron members: HOWARD BAUGH, BILL CAMPBELL, CHUCK DRYDEN, SPANN WATSON, LOUIS R. PURNELL, LEMUEL CUSTIS, BEN DAVIS and one other. The next poster honors the 100th Fighter Squadron and shows a bomber in pursuit of Nazi planes, limitation #1234/1500 and signed by four pilots: ROSEY W. WILLAMS, WOODROW W. CROCKETT, LOWELL STEWARD and one more not identified. The next poster honors the 301st Fighter Squadron, it too bears the #1234/1500 limitation and is signed by four airmen: WALTER M. DOWNS, HAROLD E. SAWYER, CARL E. CAREY, HARRY S. STEWART and ALEXANDER JEFFERSON. Finally, the fourth poster honors the 302nd and depicts three planes on the runway including the "The Macon Belle", signed by 10 airmen: MELVIN T. JACKSON, CHARLES MCGEE, CHARLES BUSSY, HARRY A. SHEPPARD, LUKE WEATHER and others. Fine condition, four pieces ideal for display.

Estimate: $300 - 400.
