TROTSKY, LEON
(1879 - 1940) Russian Communist leader who with Lenin organized the Bolshevik October Revolution, defeated by Stalin in their struggle for control of the government, banished and later assassinated in Mexico. Rare A.D.S., 2pp. 4to., [n.p., ca. 1919], in ink and indelible pencil draft of an order in which Trotsky, referring repeatedly to the military head of a district and a district commissar, seeks a reorganization of the military administration in Ekaterinburg, with a transfer of certain duties to the military directorate there. Some wear, largely at margins, light soiling, overall about very good. Trotsky is especially rare in holograph material.
