TINTYPE OF PVT. PERRY FRY, 94TH ILLINOIS, KIA. A sixth-plate tintype of a fresh recruit with musket and silver-hilted English bowie knife tucked into his belt. Old pencil identification behind image names "Perry Fry" as the subject. Perrylander Fry of Company I., 94th Illinois enlisted from Randolph, Illinois on August 11, 1862 and died a short time later in Springfield, Missouri in October, probably of disease. The plate is overall dark but undamaged. Housed in a separated composition case. GOOD.
