TINTYPE OF A YANK WITH A STARR REVOLVER. A sixth-plate tintype of an early war unidentified cavalryman cradling an M1840 "wrist breaker" with a Starr revolver tucked into his belt. The details of the pistol peg it as the earlier first model. Clarity is strong but the plate exhibits scuffing to the emulsion with significant horizontal bends visible at an angle, still a good representative view in about GOOD condition. Housed in a full composition case. PLEASE NOTE: THIS LOT WILL BE SOLD ON EBAY LIVE AUCTIONS BETWEEN 4:00-5:00pm EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME ON MAY 10, 2002.
