THREE DAGUERREOTYPES AMBOTYPES FERROTYPE PHOTO
DAGUERREOTYPES/PHOTOGRAPHIA: A nice lot of three mid to late 19th century photographs commonly in a generic sense daquerreotypes. One is a 1/6 Ambrotype (1851 -1890's) thin negative on glass in an embossed maroon paper case with gilt colored frame. It is unusual to know the name of the sitter but in this case, it is of Walter Henry Parkins. The embossed paper frame is in two pieces and the clasp is missing. The frame shows the normal spotting often found in Ambrotype. The second is a tintype or Ferrotypes (1865 -1890's) of the same person in a gilt colored frame. The embossed black paper case is in two pieces, clasp in place. The third is a ¬ partially hand colored Ambrotype of a seated couple, unnamed bit given the dress of each probably could be dated 1850 - 1860's. The embossed brown-tone frame is in two pieces and both clasps are missing. There is clear shadow ring to the picture.
