(1850 - 1912) Frontier lawman employed by ""Hanging Judge"" Parker, Thomas was a deadly lawman who, with Bill Tilghman, cleaned up ""Hell's Half Acre"", killed Bill Doolin, shot Ned Christie, and arrested over three hundred outlaws in a three year period. Heck Thomas"" as Deputy United Stated Marshal 1p. legal folio, Fort Smith, AK, Sept. 11, 1888, an expense voucher for $39.50 for expenses involved in serving a warrant at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory, on Sept. 9, 1888.
