(1774-1857) Scottish minister and scientist known for his works on astronomy. A.Ms. (unsigned), 2pp. 8vo., [n.p., n.d.], a tract, possibly from a sermon, entitled "The Better Country", in very small part: "...When the world in which we live first proceded from the hand of the Creator, all its scenery and arrangements were pronounced to be very good - completely adapted to the comfort and happiness of innocent Man...But since the introduction of sin, the face of nature has been partly deranged, the beauties of Paraside have been partly swept away, and a long train of physical and moral evils have swept away...", and more similar content. Mounted to an album page with a separate signature of Dick affixed to verso. Very good condition.
