This incredible rare movie poster is for the 1942, Paramount Pictures film THIS GUN FOR HIRE starring Veronica Lake and Alan Ladd. This Gun for Hire is an extremely desirable title. This is the ORIGINAL Argentinian Theatrical release poster. This stunning Vintage poster from Argentina (UN ALMA TORTURADA) is Linen backed and measures 29" X 43". It features the same beautiful artwork as the U.S. One Sheet. This hard to find poster is in Outstanding, excellent condition. There are few noticible imperfections and the poster has been meticulously preserved and stored for decades. the is a slight line of discoloration along Veronica Lake's forehead (see image) but it is very minor and fitting for a poster of this age and use. The colors and images are all extremely rich and vivid. U.S. One sheet posters of this same style and art have sold in the past for nearly 50,000.00 dollars at auction. (From Wikipedia) This Gun for Hire is a 1942 American film noir crime film directed by Frank Tuttle and starring Veronica Lake, Robert Preston, Laird Cregar, and Alan Ladd. It is a film noir based on the 1936 novel (published in America with the same title, and in Britain with the title (A Gun for Sale) by Graham Greene. Lake and Preston were given above-the-title star billing, with Ladd given an "and introducing" credit. Although Ladd only received fourth billing, the film made him a star, due to fan reaction and critical praise. The film features Yvonne de Carlo in an early role.
