Horizontal fold transverses signature; occasional foxing; mounting abrasions on top verso slightly show-through; o/w VG. Attractively matted between color lithograph portrait, transmittal envelope, descriptive plaque and presidential seal. Contained under glass within gilt frame. Overall 30"x17½". Daniel Martin served during the Spanish-American War where he became acquainted with Roosevelt. In World War I, he was the last American killed during the last ten minutes of combat.</span></p>
