THE ROARING TWENTIES

One Sheet (27" x 41")
Very Fine- on Linen
Warner Bros., 1939

This is one of the gangster films from the mid-1930s that Warner Bros. was famous for. It stars not only James Cagney but Humphrey Bogart as well. It's scarce to find in such nice condition..

The piece has sporadic airbrushing on the borders and in the lower white areas, extending behind the title block. There are minimal touch-ups to the crossfolds, and a slight stress or tear mark in the top right corner near Bogart's head. The names above the title have been lightly airbrushed, and pinholes in each corner have been repaired. The bold colors make for a striking presentation.

Starring James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart as bootlegging gangsters, the National Board of Review named this bullet-riddled crime drama as one of the ten best films of 1939. The great Raoul Walsh directed this popular thriller set during the heyday of Prohibition, the second of three films Bogart and Cagney made together.
