Featuring Ray's lifetime collection of memorabilia spanning a 50+ year music career. Ray Benson's personal music instruments including a pair of custom made Texas telecasters, Fender Telecasters, & Gibson guitars that he played all over the world and on records. Vintage concert posters, original album cover art, stage worn custom outfits, movie outfits, his customized 1969 Harley Davidson, 1955 Chevy Bel Air, & the 1954 Studebaker Commander he used to move to Austin in the early 70's. A great collection of Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys items including Bob Wills' steel guitar, Armadillo World Headquarters posters, Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic posters & memorabilia, ACL posters, vintage Tshirts, Route 66 collection, & much more. For over 50 years, Ray Benson has been a fixture in music with 10 time Grammy award winners Asleep at the Wheel, as well as his solo work. Ray has worked extensively with Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lyle Lovett, George Strait, Bob Will's Texas Playboys, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, & many more. Ray has a vast collection of memorabilia from those collaborations acquired directly from the artists, & from his extensive career. Please mark your calendars & make plans to join us.
