A three-way treasure hunt set against the epic backdrop of the American Civil War, the third film to star Clint Eastwood as The Man With No Name (actually named Blondie) was the most ambitious and excellent of the series. With Eastwood pitted against Lee Van Cleef ("The Bad") and Eli Wallach ("The Ugly"), its ultimate stand-off is one of the most excellent climactic sequences in cinema history.
