 THE FLYING JORDANS
A neat relic from one of the great turn-of-the century circus aerial acts, The Flying Jordans, an autograph page bearing some silly poetry, and original drawing and the signature of an early member of the act who had been "imported" from Russia to perform with the troupe in the U.S. The 12mo. pale orange page is dated: "Sydney May 1st 1911" and bears some doggerel at right about a poor dog who must drink from a shaving cup. A cartoon at left shows two arguing: "Don't Argue. May's riding is the best.". The page is signed by Oscar Linscoff, who adopted the stage name "Oscar Jordan" when he joined the act in the late 1890s.
