The majority of ORIGINAL movie posters printed and displayed before 1985 (approximately) were produced and shipped to theaters FOLDED. Please note that this is not damage or a defect.
This is a 1962 Re-Release Original, Linen Backed, Vintage French poster (L'E STRANGE CREATIURE DU LAC NOIR) for the enormously popular 1954 classic Universal horror film, Creature from the Black Lagoon. This poster measures 24 X 31 1/4 (with linen backing border). This is a sought after piece that will fit perfectly in any classic film or Classic horror movie collection. This is a beautiful poster. The artwork features an impressive illustration of the creature looming large over a woman swimming under the water. This poster is overall in Excellent condition. Even the borders are in good shape except for the bottom right corner border which has a bit of discoloration. The only other visibly noticable imperfection is appears to be a slight thin scratch in the production credits of toward the lower third of the poster. (See Photos). This poster has been meticulously preserved and stored. (From Wikipedia) Creature from the Black Lagoon is a 1954 American black-and-white 3D monster horror film from Universal-International, produced by William Alland, directed by Jack Arnold, and starring Richard Carlson, Julie Adams, Richard Denning, Antonio Moreno, Nestor Paiva, and Whit Bissell. The Creature was played by Ben Chapman on land and by Ricou Browning under water. The film premiered in Detroit on February 12 and was released on a regional basis, opening on various dates.Creature from the Black Lagoon was filmed in three dimensions (3D) and originally projected by the polarized-light method. The audience wore viewers with gray polarizing filters, similar to the viewers most commonly used today. Because the brief 1950s 3D film fad had peaked in mid-1953 and was fading fast in early 1954, many audiences actually saw the film "flat", in two dimensions (2D).
Creature from the Black Lagoon generated two sequels: Revenge of the Creature (1955), which was also filmed and released in 3D in hopes of reviving the format, and The Creature Walks Among Us (1956), filmed in 2D. Each Auction conducted is for items designated by a “LOT” number. The live auction will be held on a predetermined and pre-scheduled date and will be preceded by an approximate 14–20 day pre-bidding or Advanced Bidding period. These lots have been provided to LifeLike Productions Inc. on behalf of an estate or party (“CONSIGNOR”) that wishes LifeLike Productions, Inc to sell (in this case via auction, the lots made available to us for sale).
LifeLike Productions, Inc. (Agent/Auctioneer) will provide gathered and researched information of the items to the Buyer/Bidders of the auction as well as photos, including photos of any aging, damage etc. that may affect the value of the lot.
Before you bid, you must read terms and conditions and conditions of sale. They represent a contract between the Agent / Auctioneer – LifeLike Productions, Inc. and you, and they contain important terms and conditions such as jurisdiction, payment terms, warranties and remedies.
In order to participate in this auction, REGISTRATION is required for all persons wishing to Bid (Bidder/Buyer). Each Auction requires a separate registration. In order to register for the auction, Bidders must submit their name, physical address, phone number, email address, and credit card information. In Order to Authorize Credit Card, an amount of $1.00 will be charged to your credit card for verification purposes only. It is the sole responsibility and risk of prospective bidder buyers to determine and decide that an items value and description suitable for bid or purchase. Agent/Auctioneer nor the consignor makes any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to merchantability or fitness for intended use, condition of the property (including any condition report), correctness of description, origin, measurement, quality, rarity, importance, exhibition, relevance, attribution, source, provenance, date, authorship, condition, culture, genuineness, value, or period of the property. Bidder/Buyers are encouraged to their own due diligence as the value of an item they are interested in bidding on.
These Conditions of Sale and the terms and conditions herein, constitute a binding agreement between LifeLike Productions, Inc. and the bidder. All parties acknowledge and agree that this is with respect to this auction only. By bidding at auction whether in the pre-bidding phase or during the live auction, or by any other method, if available.
Bidder/Buyer agrees to be fully bound thereby by these terms and conditions. All Sales are Final.
The auction software being utilized for this auction Is acknowledged and agreed to be “As Available”. It is recommended that the Bidder/Buyer use High Speed access which is best used to access the services effectively. LifeLike Productions, inc. is not responsible for any bidding delays, failures for other damage due to Bidder/Buyer’s internet software or provider.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges that they have pre-registered with a validated credit card with our credit card processing company before being accepted as a registered bidder/buyer.
Winning bidder/buyer agrees that upon acceptance of final winning bid, the bidder/buyer’s approved and validated credit card will be charged for the full amount of the winning bid as well as an 8% Buyers Premiums which will be added on to the total sale price.
Purchase price is the total of the final bid amount plus the auction’s BUYER’S PREMIUM (8 percent).
Bidder/Buyers agree that the registered and pre-approved bidder with the winning Bid at the close of the Auction will be obligated to purchase the winning Lot that had their highest bid accepted.
All invoices will automatically be charged to the verified credit card on file at the time of the acceptance of the buyer’s final winning bid.
If for any reason, payment is not received from Bidder/Buyer, LifeLike Productions Inc. will impose a a late charge of one-and-a-half percent (1.5%) per month (or the highest rate allowable by law, whichever is lower) on the outstanding Total Purchase Price. If Item is not paid for in full by verified credit card within Ten days, the sale will be considered null and void.
The winning bidder/buyer acknowledges that once they have been named as the winner of the item/lot, they shall and bear all risk and responsibility for the lot, and neither LifeLike Productions, Inc, its agents nor employees, shall thereafter be liable for any loss or damage to the property. The buyer will also be re- quired to sign a confirmation of purchase at such time if requested by the auctioneer.
All bidders are deemed to be acting as principals unless LikeLike acknowledges in writing prior to the auction that the bidder is acting as agent for another party. In the absence of such written acknowledgment, the bidder guarantees payment of the Purchase Price of a successful bid.
Winning Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that no item will be shipped until payment from winning buyer’s verified credit card has been charged and posted to the Agent/Auction account. Items will not be shipped until the additional shipping credit card charges have been processed.
All lots will have a STARTING PRICE. Any item lot failing to meet that starting bid does not have to be sold as per the discretion of LifeLike Productions, Inc. If the item bidding does not meet the starting bid, LifeLike Productions, Inc has the sole right to lower the starting bid at its discretion in order to continue bidding for said item.
By bidding on any Lot, you automatically agree to purchase the Lot at the price you have bid. All Rights Reserved: LifeLike Productions, Inc. reserves the right to withdraw any item or auction lot before or at the time of the auction, and/or to postpone the auction of all or any lots or parts thereof, for any reason. LifeLike Productions, Inc. shall not be liable to any Bidder in the event of such withdrawal or postponement under any circumstances. LifeLike Productions, Inc. reserves the right to refuse to accept bids from anyone.
In the event the winning bidder/buyer bids and wins on more than one lot and in turn, pays less than the total purchase price for all lots, it shall be up to the discretion of the Agent/Auctioneer to decide which item/items that the bidder/buyer won, shall be applied to the amount paid.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that It is unlawful and illegal for Bidders to collude, attempt to defraud or defraud, pool, or work with another Bidder to pay less than the fair value for Lot. The law provides for substantial penalties for anyone in violation of these terms and conditions herein pertaining to any effort to commit fraud or affect the price of an item or lot.
In the event of a dispute between bidders during a live auction, Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that LifeLike Productions, Inc. (Agent/Auctioneer) will have final discretion in resolving the dispute.
In the case of a dispute it will be up to the Agent/Auctioneeer to determine the winning Bidder. Agent/auctioneer also reserves the right to cancel, re-offer or re-list the lot item either in auction or private sale.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that LifeLike Productions, Inc. has the right to set a determined starting price and that if the item does not reach that starting bid, the item can be withdrawn from the auction. LifeLike Productions, Inc. has the right to set bidding increments for each item based on standard and industry accepted, customary bidding increments.

Bidder/Buyer agree that any agreements between the LifeLike Productions, Inc. and Bidder/Buyer includes but is not limited to, the conditions of sale set forth under the jurisdiction of Los Angeles, County, California, USA and that the terms and conditions of this agreement are acknowledged and agreed to by the Bidder/Buyer regardless of their respective location, state, city, country of origin or residence throughout the globe.
LifeLike Productions, Inc and Bidder/Buyer agree that any disputes under these Terms and Conditions of Sale, and all of the information and subject matter contained herein, shall and will be governed exclusively by the laws of the state of California. Any and all claims or actions deemed admissible shall be brought and maintained only in Los Angeles County, California in a State or Federal Court to the exclusion of any other venue, locale or jurisdiction. All parties submit to such jurisdiction.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that LifeLike Productions, Inc. shall be held harmless against any and all claims, items lost in transit both in the United States and during International Shipping. In the case of any loss of item, Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that Shipping insurance for the cost of the item will be included in the buyer’s shipping costs.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that all property will be offered by LifeLike Productions, Inc and that LifeLike Productions Inc. is acting solely as an agent for the consignor and power of attorney of the consignor, executor and power of attorney and not of LifeLike Production, Inc.’s Own behalf. Consignor, executor and power of attorney of the estate has acknowledged via a written contract that the items are authentic, and are presented as is, and with the full rights to engage in the sale of this auction to potential bidder/buyers.
Unless otherwise stated or set forth as related to each lot/item otherwise set forth with respect to an item, the item offered at auction is an original piece. LifeLike Productions, Inc makes no statement, representation or warranty concerning the copyright of the items for sale. Depiction of these items on the website or in any promotions used for purposes of promoting the auction is purely for reference and information purposes included to inform the bidder/buyer on the included items.
Bidder/Buyers shall hold harmless any decision by the buyer/bidder to use any listed item for their own purposes or promotion that may interfere with copyrights of said item. LifeLike Productions, Inc makes no warranty or representation relating to the winning bidder’s ability or right to copy, adapt or reproduce any item or lot sold at our auction.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that if the property embodies any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property, by the purchase of such property, Buyer/Bidder is not acquiring any interest in any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property that may be embodied or reflected in such property, but is acquiring only such physical embodiment and/or reflection. LifeLike Production, Inc. does not make any representation or warranty as to title or ownership of title.
All headings, descriptions and photographs: including but not limited to descriptions of item/lot condition (including any condition reports requested by Bidder), time period, authorship, period, nationality, country of origin, original source material, dimensions, quality, rarity, provenance, cultural significance or relevance etc. used in promotional websites, materials or during auction, invoices or anywhere else, represent a good faith effort made by LifeLike Productions Inc. to represent the lots offered for sale.
Many of the determinations may ultimately be opinion only created and researched from things such as but not limited to: online research, Expert advice, Comparable descriptions, final sale prices, current auction estimates etc. of similar or same items and item date and conditions.
Price estimates and estimate ranges are Price are provided solely as a convenience to Bidders and have been researched and listed based on past and current sales and speculative value and are not intended nor shall they be relied on by Bidders as statements, representations or warranties of actual value or predictions of final bid prices.
Bidder can use these as a guideline, but Bidder/Buyer is ultimately, solely responsible for the decision to bid and purchase an item if they are the winning bidder.
Bidder/Buyer acknowledges and agrees that LifeLike Productions, Inc. shall make make no warranties to information not contained in the lot Headings or descriptions.
As stated above, Lot Consigner/Power of attorney has verified and represented that all lots/items are the sole and authentic property of said consignor, and that Agent/auctioneer, LifeLike Productions, Inc, icollector.com and their heirs and holdings, shall be held harmless against any future claims of said included items/lots.
The terms and conditions for this auction cannot be waived, changed or adjusted in any way by any employee or authorized representative of this auction unless written in writing and approved by LifeLike Productions, Inc and the authorized auction agent/Auctioneer.
The Terms and Conditions of Sale listed herein constitute a binding agreement between the Agent/auctioneer and the Bidder / Buyer. This agreement shall not be superceded, changed or restructured or ammended in any way.
