THE BEATLES SIGNED RED VOX FULL SIZE GUITAR
The Beatles Paul, John, George, and Ringo individual signed Red VOX full sized Guitar with authenticated letter of provenance from George Harrison. THIS IS A VERY RARE PIECE OF BEATLE HISTORY: Paul Drew was a powerful radio DJ and program director who traveled with the Beatles on their 1964 and 1965 world tour and grew close to the group. Paul once wrote: I first became friendly with The Beatles during their 1964 North American Tour. I traveled with the band during their 1964 and 1965 tours and introduced them at their August 18, 1965, concert at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, as well as interviewing them numerous times. Because of my involvement with radio, I had numerous opportunities to see the individual Beatles and interview them for broadcast. At one point I was even able to facilitate a reconciliation between John Lennon and Paul McCartney when they were both staying in New York. Paul often corresponded with members of the band and sent them records from other artists. Based on independent research it is believed that this guitar was given to Paul by George Harrison through Brian Epstein, the manager of the Beatles. Paul subsequently sent the guitar to George Harrison and requested that all four of the Beatles sign the guitar and return it to him. Included in this Lot is the authenticated letter from George Harrison to Paul acknowledging this event as well as stating that the guitar was used by both himself and John Lennon during recording sessions in the 60s. The letter from George Harrison is on The Material Charitable World Foundation Ltd. stationary. The Material World Charitable Foundation, also known as the Material World Foundation, is a charitable organization founded by George Harrison in April 1973. This letter comes with a Letter of Authenticity. There is a second letter to Paul Drew from Peter Brown of Apple Records acknowledging the events of the guitar being given to Paul Drew by Brian Epstein. This letter has not been authenticated. It is believed that the letter was signed by a secretary of the company for Peter Brown, which was common practice at that time. This fact has yet to be confirmed. This item comes with a letter of authenticity issued by Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators along with the GFA guarantee of authenticity.
